Why MIL needs a screen, not just a page

A paper can be rigorous, peer-reviewed, and entirely correct — and still never reach the person who needs it most. If MIL research wants to shape how people actually think about information, it has to leave the page and live where people already are: on screen, in their ears, in their hands.

What MILID Screen is

A collaborative platform for producing and distributing audiovisual content on MIL — podcasts, videos, documentaries, interactives, and formats not yet invented. Infrastructure meant to keep producing, curating, and circulating content long after the conference closes.

What happens in Cairo: a working seminar

MILID Screen launches as a seminar, bringing together creators and producers to define, together, the formats, styles, and methods of cooperation and distribution the platform will run on.

Built on what Chairs Cooperation decides

MILID Screen is the concrete, public form taken by the institutional decisions made in the Chairs Cooperation seminar earlier the same day.

When and how

Day 2 (19 October 2026), immediately following MILID UNESCO Chairs Cooperation.

Who this is for

Documentary filmmakers, podcast teams, video creators, interactive designers, students, and community projects working — or wanting to work — on MIL content.
